Faith Development for Youth

Sundays at 10:30

Our Whole Lives: 8th–9th Grade

Our Whole Lives is a positive, comprehensive, age-appropriate educational program promoting sexual health. OWL helps participants make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior. It equips participants with accurate, age-appropriate information in six subject areas: human development, relationships, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexual health, and society and culture.

Grounded in a holistic view of sexuality, Our Whole Lives provides facts about anatomy and human development and helps participants clarify their values, build interpersonal skills, and understand the spiritual, emotional, and social aspects of sexuality.

Parents or guardians must attend a mandatory orientation and complete a permission form for their child to participate in OWL.

Senior Youth Group: 10th–12th grade

With a focus on relationships, youth are empowered to participate in project-based activities such as social justice, fundraising, and planning for the UU Youth Heritage Trip to Boston. In addition, time each month will be dedicated to volunteering at UUCMC and attending a worship service.

Ninth-grade youth not participating in OWL may attend youth group meetings.
