The word bridge has several meanings. One is to “connect or reduce the distance between.   Last month, the Adult Religious Education Committee launched a new model of learning called Fellowship Fridays with the goal of doing just that.  Each Friday in March, the Meetinghouse was buzzing with people of all ages. Ninety people showed up the first night, and energy has remained high! Each night started with dinner followed by worship and then individual classes. Additional classes were added along the way. One of our hopes for Fellowship Fridays is to create community while nurturing spiritual and intellectual growth. The evenings have been a success, because we achieved many of our goals: connecting with one another, reducing the distance between us by participating in an evening for all ages, and getting to know each other in new ways.  It has been a truly beautiful event!

The Adult REC committee will evaluate the program and plan for another Fellowship Friday program in the fall. We welcome your feedback, hope you will consider leading a class, and would be honored if you would join our planning team.

Until next time,
Michelle
