At UUCMC, we follow many paths. We take care of ourselves, both in body and spirit. Groups use our peaceful space to learn and teach, sit and walk. We hope you’ll find a group that fits your needs.

Buddhist Meditation

EDGEWOOD HOUSE MEDITATION

A new group of meditators, the Monmouth Zen Circle, utilizes Edgewood House for weekly meditation. Saturdays 9:45-12.  This is a more demanding schedule with three 30-minute periods of meditation, and two 10-minute periods of walking meditation, followed by a Buddhist service of chanting and bowing.  Teacher, Kotatsu John Bailes (One Heart Zen), joins us the second weekend of the month for talks and private individual conversations.  MZC has been a sangha for many years in the Monmouth area and is decidedly happy to have this lovely space at the edge of the woods to continue their meditation practice.  Our deepest bows to UUCMC for this opportunity!
